One of the best places to live is Lonesome Village.
Lonesome Village is a complex puzzle-solving life simulator that puts you in the shoes of Wes the Coyote, an adventurous traveler with a mysterious background who comes upon Ubhora, a charming small town where all the people have vanished and a terrifying tower with an evil eye has burst from the ground.
Soon, he finds out that cultists took over the town and locked all the villagers in the tower in order to keep a sacred promise. This promise says that whoever holds a mysterious object will have knowledge, strength, and absolute power. Wes goes out into a world that has been taken over by a greater evil and finds hope and goodness everywhere. Here are some of the best ones.
Hearts Open Doors
As soon as Wes starts his mission to save the villagers from evil, he finds out that each cell door in the tower needs a certain number of sacrifices. These are a gift of its choice, a puzzle to find something that was taken from the hostage, and hearts.
Even though it’s easy to get the first two by going on lonesome quests in the town, hearts can only be given for free. When you save or help a villager, they give you a heart as a “thank you.” This starts a new friendship and lets you go to higher levels in the dark prison tower.
Friendship Saves
There are save points all over town and on every floor of each tower. These let you save your progress before taking on a new challenge in Lonesome Village.
The design choice for the save point is a statue of Coronya, the helpful spirit guide who gives you hints throughout the game, holding a heart, which is the game’s symbol of friendship and gratitude.
Promoting Accessibility
Lonesome Village tries to be easy to play for people of all ages by using picture dialogues and visual storytelling. This makes the game easy for people of all ages to play and makes sure it’s fun for everyone.
As people talk to Wes the coyote, a simple line drawing of the meaning of what they say appears on the top right of their heads. Also, all of the cutscenes show how events are going and how each character feels about them through pictures instead of written words.
Promoting Diversity
Lonesome Village game also tries to have characters with different sexual orientations and gender identities. You meet Cricket and their partner Lola in the Cow Match challenge. In the Surfing Bird challenge, which comes a little later in Lonesome Village game, you save Didi and her friend Tulip.
Now that you’re in Chapter 2, “Praising,” you can also change your face, clothes, and shoes.
Magical Music Instruments
During his journey, Wes is given a number of things that help him as he goes deeper into Ubhora. The best of these are a set of magical musical instruments that can control natural events.
To help him on his way, his new friends give him a violin that makes it rain, a drum that makes rumbles so loud that they can move boulders, and a flute that controls the wind. This lets him quickly travel across the map in Didi’s hot air balloon.
Everybody Is Important
Wes learns many things about life as he makes his cursed way up the prison tower. You can’t just skip floors to get to the people you need to save; you have to save everyone, and each person you save turns out to be important, even if they don’t know it at the time.
In addition to talking about being an individual and being a part of a group, the game also makes a point about how important quality of life is. Each villager who is trapped in the tower talks about how awful it was for them.
Together Or Alone
Wes has a choice when he goes on a side quest and saves Mushroom the adventurer from the hole. He can go on this adventure with Mushroom or he can keep going on his own. Both are good, but they are very different ways to play the same game.
Even if this new friend doesn’t always help you solve puzzles, complete different quests around town, or get more items or hearts, having a cute NPC follow you around makes your journey much more pleasant.
Pop Culture References
There are many pop culture references in the game. Some of the characters you save are thought to be named after characters from other popular series, like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Tom the cat from Walt Disney’s Tom & Jerry. Mindy Lou is named after both princess Mindy and Cindy Lou from Dr. Seuss’s world, and Catniss is named after Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games.
There are also a few well-known movie lines in the game. “You’re our only hope,” said Princess Leia in Star Wars. Coronya says this to Wes before he goes into the tower. In the same way, after Hanzo tells Wes that he’ll “show him the way,” he says that it’s important to “get them all,” a reference to a popular internet meme and the Pokemon series.
False Promises
As you play 8 Ball Pool game, make friends, collect magical items from town villagers, and use your wits to defeat evil, you soon realize something interesting: the one true god can’t give you what you already have, so they had to take it all away.
The leaders of the cult didn’t have to trap all those villagers and cause so much pain. The only thing they really needed was each other, which they already had.
Choice Vs. Destiny
Wes finally figures out what they were thinking during the last fight with Baran, the leader of the cult. Baran asks, “Who do you think you are to try to stop us from reaching our Destiny?” and tells him, “Stop fighting! You don’t have enough strength!”
While the cult leader will go to any length to achieve his one true destiny, including holding an entire town hostage and robbing people of their lives, Wes the coyote, who continues to fight, represents choice as he begins on a journey of learning, beginning with nothing and ending with everything: magical things, a home, a loving community, an awareness of his own past, and a magnificent narrativ
