Gas Hob Into Your Kitchen Design
As opposed to electric hobs, gas hobs offer greater control and heat up more quickly. Modern chefs almost never use anything other than gas since it offers an instant adjustment in temperature.
When incorporating the hob into your kitchen design, make sure the arrangement is suitable for hob safety. A pan should be easy to move from the cooker to the washbasin without encountering any barriers or other persons.
In order to safely remove a pan from the cooker without having to pull backward, try to provide space for the gas hob to be installed on each side of where it will be installed.
Avoid placing the washbasin too close to the cooker since hot fat reacts negatively with all liquids, including juice and water. Avoid placing the Hob close to a window as well in case you need to open it.
Wide Selection Of Gas Hobs
The top appliance manufacturers provide a wide selection of gas hobs. Compared to a decade ago, we have more options thanks to new shapes, patterns, sizes, and colors.
The tiniest gas hobs are known as “domino hobs,” and they are typically 30 cm wide. These could be a 2-burner gas range or just a single wok burner.
When combined with an electric ceramic or induction stove, Domino models are intended to provide the best of both worlds.
Conventional gas ranges had four burners and a width of 60 cm. A quick burner with a power output of about 2.5 kw is typical, while some versions include both a rapid and a wok burner. Around 3.5–4 kw are used in wok burners.
Stainless steel trim on glass is the newest and most popular finish. Compared to steel or white hobs, this combination has a fantastic appearance and an easy-to-clean surface, but it reveals oil quite rapidly.
Feature Is Essential Kitchen Technology
The flame failure or “safety shut out” feature is essential kitchen technology. This indicates that a heat sensor detects the absence of a flame and promptly shuts off the gas flow to stop leaks and potential explosions.
Plug n Point are the leading manufacturers of gas ranges in the UAE. Although there is a wide variety available at lower prices from Baumatic and CDA, Indesit and Electrolux are the most well-liked brands.
The type of pan that sits on the hob affects price. Cast iron pan supports are significantly chunkier, have a rougher texture, and hold the pan more securely than enamel, which has a smooth metal gloss finish.
A gas hob must have at least 750mm of space above it before a cooker hood can be installed. The distance may be lowered to 727mm above a gas cooktop, however regular cleaning of the bonnet is required to avoid fire hazards.
A minimum height of 366mm must separate wall units on either side of a hood. If installation adjacent to a larder unit or combustible material, a minimum of 300mm clearance is needed on either side of the hob.
